1. Who we are
MarysReel is an AI-assisted video creation application available at https://marysreel.com. The service lets users create voiceover scripts, render videos, buy credits and optionally publish completed videos to YouTube.
2. Information we collect
We collect the information needed to operate the service, including account name, nickname, email address, password hash, email verification status, credit balance, payment references, selected video settings, prompts, draft scripts, user-edited scripts, generated metadata, generated files, public share settings, usage logs and basic technical information needed for security and troubleshooting.
If you connect YouTube, we store the channel ID, channel title, selected/default channel setting and OAuth tokens needed to show your connected channels and upload videos only when you request it.
3. How we use information
We use your information to create and manage your account, verify your email address, generate draft scripts, render videos, manage credits, process purchases, provide previews and downloads, create optional public share pages, upload or schedule videos to YouTube when requested, prevent abuse and maintain service reliability.
4. AI, stock media and third-party services
MarysReel uses third-party providers to operate core features. These may include OpenRouter for AI generation, Pexels for stock footage, Stripe for payments, Google/YouTube for channel connection and publishing, and infrastructure providers for hosting, email delivery and logs.
Payment card details are handled by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
5. Google and YouTube data
If you connect a YouTube account, MarysReel requests access only for the YouTube publishing features shown in the application.
The application currently requests these Google OAuth scopes:
- youtube.readonly: used to list the YouTube channels available on the connected Google account so you can choose where to publish.
- youtube.upload: used to upload or schedule a completed video to the selected YouTube channel after you click the publish action and confirm the title, description, tags, privacy status, publish timing and audience setting.
We use Google user data to show connected channels, remember the channel you selected, refresh the YouTube connection when needed and upload videos with the metadata and settings you confirm. We do not use YouTube access to read your analytics, read or modify comments, manage subscriptions, delete existing videos or publish anything without your action in the application.
OAuth tokens are stored so the application can keep the channel connected and complete requested uploads. You can disconnect all YouTube access or remove individual channels from the dashboard. You can also revoke access from your Google Account permissions page at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.
We do not sell Google user data. We do not use Google user data for advertising. We do not transfer Google user data except as needed to provide the YouTube publishing feature, comply with law, protect the service, or with your explicit instruction. Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
6. Cookies and sessions
We use essential cookies or similar session mechanisms to keep you logged in, protect forms from CSRF attacks and operate the application. These are necessary for the service to function.
7. Retention
We keep account and transaction data as long as needed to operate the service, comply with accounting or legal obligations and resolve disputes. Generated job workspaces and temporary rendering files may be removed by maintenance tasks after a configured retention period.
Connected YouTube channel data and OAuth tokens are kept until you disconnect YouTube, remove the channel, delete your account where available, or contact us to request deletion, unless retention is required for legal, security or dispute-resolution reasons.
8. Your choices
You may disconnect YouTube channels from the dashboard, remove stored channels where available, revoke Google access from your Google Account, stop using the service or contact us to request access, correction or deletion of your personal data where applicable.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the service, including hashed passwords, email verification, CSRF protection, server-side access checks, HTTPS in production and restricted use of OAuth tokens by application code. No internet service can guarantee perfect security.
10. Children
MarysReel is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and remove it where required.
